Yes, I actually rewound the tape of my walk in order to retrieve this prize from where it lay on the periphery of a mess of sidewalk trash. And yes, in case you’re wondering (and I know you are), when you rewind a portion of your activity, it really does make a “blooopblooorpbleeerp” sound. (Try it.)
So, what I want to know from you is this: Am I the only one who finds this mildly disturbing? NOT my touching of the trash (c’mon, I licked my hands clean, so it’s not like I’m unhygienic or nothin’), but the actual item itself. Please vote in the poll waaaaay below. (Pssst! As of 2:38 p.m., it’s in its proper place!) (For some reason, Pollhost polls always like to distance themselves, physically, from my writing. [Emotionally, they’re right there with me, though.] I’m trying not to take it personally, but after a while it’s hard not to.)
