Lunch, for a song

All right. It’s time to stop letting you vote “officially” in last week’s lunch poll. Anyone who votes from this point on is a cheater who is trying to skew the results and act like they knew all along which lunch was mine and which was Elaine’s and will try to fly on the flapping coattails of the adoration I reserve for those who know me well enough to know that my dish was the vegetarian meatloaf with mashed potatoes.
See, if you put two and two together, and paid even marginal attention to the items listed in the entry preceding that one, you would have noticed a little tidbit where I indicate a sort of rabid (although not quite to the point of fetish, thankfully) attraction to mashed potatoes, and then thought, “Hey! One of those dishes contains potatoes of a mashed variety!” and thus voted for the CORRECT one rather than think that I was the sort of girl who’d eat salad for lunch. You may also know, from reading way way back, that I have a special sort of attraction (this one bordering on fetish) for TV dinners and noted the name of the vegetarian meatloaf dish and known, by putting two and two and two together and raising it to the tooth power, that I could not resist based on that element alone.
So there you have it. The mystery is solved!
And now I have for you a song that makes me happy no matter what. It is by Cat Stevens, although it does not appear on “Tea for the Tillerman”, which is one of the albums I mentioned in the entry that 61% (40) of those of you who voted (66) didn’t read closely enough to realize that I would just about kill a man for mashed potatoes.
I guess it would be adorable if the song were the one about “doing the mashed potato” (a dance popular among ’50s youth), but that’s just too much. Instead, enjoy this.
And, while you’re at it, tell me what you had for lunch!
