People ask, “Doesn’t it get boring after a while, just walking around New York?” To those people, I say, this. (I also say something a bit more colorful. Use your imagination.)
How can it be boring, when one afternoon includes this:

The Pool, Central Park West at 103rd Street
and this:

Large Bear by Tom Otterness, West 96th Street
and, of course, this:

Samosa, Indus Valley, Broadway at 100th Street
As Myrna Loy said (which I mentioned a while ago), “If you’re bored in New York, it’s your own fault.”

The bear sculpture (and others by Tom Otterness is only on view through November 22, but Central Park and the samosa are available year-round, as is the entirety of New York City.
